The short version: your tasks live on your device and in your own iCloud. We don't have servers, we can't see your data, and we don't track you.
Everything you create in Hyper — tasks, lists, notes, completions, streaks, attachments — is stored on your device and synced through your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service. This data is tied to your Apple ID and protected by Apple's security. We do not operate our own servers and have no ability to read, access, or recover your data.
When you share a list, the list's name and items are stored in Hyper's iCloud public database so the people you invite can access them. Only people with your invite code can see or edit a shared list. The display name you choose is shown next to items you add. Stopping a share removes the list's data from the shared database.
Nothing. Hyper has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and no trackers. We never see your name, email address, or anything you put in the app.
If you turn on calendar integration, Hyper reads events from the calendars you select to show them in your schedule, and can create events for your tasks. This happens entirely on your device through Apple's EventKit — your calendar data is never sent to us.
Photos or files you attach to tasks are stored with your other Hyper data — on your device and in your iCloud.
If your device is set to share diagnostics with app developers (an iOS setting you control), Apple may send us anonymized crash reports. These contain technical information about the crash, never the contents of your tasks.
Hyper does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. There is nothing to collect.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
